Can I correct my first or last name myself?
Yes. Sign in to your own OINP e-Filing account, open My Profile, correct your given, middle or family name, and save. Match your passport. Check the saved profile and tell your employer about any mismatch in their job offer.
What else can I update in My Profile?
Ontario lists telephone numbers, email address, passport number and country of residence. Save your changes and check the result.
What if my date of birth or residential address is wrong?
Use Ontario’s Change of Personal Information form and OINP webform. Include your passport details page for a date-of-birth correction. Ontario does not accept requests to completely change a name or date of birth.
My employer entered my name incorrectly. Does my profile correction fix their record?
Do not assume it does. The employer’s employee details are locked after a job-offer draft is created. Ontario instructs employers to create a new job offer for incorrect employee details. After an invitation or submission, seek OINP guidance before withdrawing anything: withdrawal can also withdraw the linked EOI or application.
Can I change the employer-entered NOC or hourly wage?
Applicants cannot edit those employer-controlled EOI fields. A job-offer correction generally requires the employer to withdraw and replace the offer, followed by a new EOI. At the employer application stage, Ontario permits an hourly-wage increase to reflect a raise; the NOC remains locked. After submission, employer application updates go through the webform.
Review the stage and consequences before taking action.
Should I give my login password to my employer or representative?
No. Keep control of your account. A representative should be formally authorized through Ontario’s process; they do not need your password.
Application questions clients ask
The employer submits a job offer in the Employer Portal.
Use the job offer ID to register an EOI within 30 calendar days.
Employer application: 14 calendar days. Applicant application and payment: 17 calendar days, after the employer submits.
Check Ontario’s current stream requirements and deadlines. Follow the dates in your invitation.
Does an EOI guarantee an invitation or nomination?
No. An EOI enters the selection pool. An invitation is not an approval. EOI registration is free and generally valid for 12 months.
Does any job offer make me eligible?
No. Both you and the employer must qualify. The offer must meet Ontario’s full-time, permanent employment and wage requirements. Experience, language, education and licensing requirements depend on the pathway. Eligible self-employed physicians have separate provisions.
Is my OINP EOI score the same as my Express Entry CRS score?
No. OINP selection factors and federal CRS points are separate. Support every claimed EOI factor with documents. Ontario-work-experience points and points for experience in the offered position have different evidence requirements.
What documents should I prepare?
Use the pathway-specific checklist: identity and status records, consent, education, language results, work references, pay slips, resume and any required licence. Upload clear copies and evidence for claimed points. Review and sign your own Applicant Consent Form; your representative cannot sign it for you.
What if my job changes after nomination?
Report changes to duties, wage, hours or employment terms immediately. Your nomination may depend on the approved position. Ontario cannot simply transfer an approved position after nomination; job termination can lead to cancellation and the need to start again.
Does nomination mean I already have permanent residence?
No. Nomination is a provincial step. You must still apply to IRCC, which makes the permanent-residence decision. Review your nomination conditions and the federal application instructions.
Can Future Dreams Immigration arrange a job or sell an LMIA offer?
