Depending on the circumstances, an applicant can apply for various types of work permits.

There are several scenarios in which you can apply for a work permit:

• You are currently resident in Canada and have a valid study or work permit, or your spouse do.
• Completed a degree program at a Canadian institution or university
• You must have a temporary residency permit that is valid for at least six months.
• You are awaiting RICC's decision on your permanent residence application.
